The following positions are full time, working 5 days a week, mostly split shifts with some straight shifts. Staff uniform will be provided.

Current vacancies
Hambleton Hall is looking for a full time Hall Porter who has experience of working in a customer focused hospitality business to join our experienced, professional housekeeping team. At Hambleton Hall, we pride ourselves of providing the highest standard of accommodation, customer service and creating wonderful memories for our guests.
The hours of work are from 8am – 5pm. Weekend part time – set days Friday/Sat/Sun – with flexibility for Monday and Thursdays.
Hambleton Hall is in the most beautiful, rural location so you will need your own transport.
Your main duties will include:Assisting guests on their arrival and departure.
· Assisting with luggage, delivering and collecting from bedrooms.
· Parking our guests’ cars, or returning them to front of house for departure.
· Work with the housekeeping team to ensure the front of house, porch and communal areas are clean and tidy at all times.
· Support the housekeeping team with the collection and delivery of linens from the onsite laundry.
· Act as a liaison between guests, reception and housekeeping teams.
· There are other tasks which will be discussed at interview
As our Hall Porter you will have the following skills:
· Excellent customer service skills, smart appearance, articulate with a warm, friendly and professional manner.
· Flexibility.
· Reliability, good timekeeping and attendance are essential in this role.
· The ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
· A good team player, with strong inter-personal skills
· Organised and efficient, with good attention to detail and happy to go that extra mile when needed.
· Ability to work weekends.

As our Hall Porter you will be our ambassador, you will have great customer service skills and be willing to go that extra mile to ensure our guests have the best experience while they stay at Hambleton Hall. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
We sincerely hope that regulations brought in by Covid-19 are a thing of the past and that handshakes, hugs and even kisses are all allowed. However, we continue to take our responsibility seriously and hope you will do the same. Sanitisers and face masks are available upon request and please let us know in advance should you wish to adopt social distancing. Our housekeeping team will still subject your bedroom to rigorous cleaning and sanitising procedures.
Hambleton beds are made-up with light to medium weight feather duvets. Should you prefer traditional sheets and blankets or hypo-allergenic bedding then please let us know prior to your arrival.
Unless instructed otherwise, Housekeeping will service your bedroom in the morning and once again in the evening while you are dining.
Check-out is at midday on the day of your departure and we can store luggage should you be travelling later.
We are looking for a full or part time Housekeeping Assistant to join our established and experienced team who look after our hotel, and our guests, with great care and attention. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
Hambleton Hall is a luxury, 5-star country house hotel set on the Hambleton Peninsula above Rutland Water. At Hambleton Hall, we pride ourselves of providing the highest standard of accommodation, customer service and creating wonderful memories for our guests.
We have a full time and part time position available, working 20 – 45 hours per week, including paid breaks. Your shifts will be worked on a rota system, for full time this will mean working 5 days out of 7 and all roles will include some weekend working. For part time, your hours and shifts will be discussed at interview. You will need transport – our hotel is set in a beautiful place, however it is very rural with no public transport
What will you be doing:
· Cleaning and preparing our bedrooms, bathrooms and all public areas of the hotel
· Replenishing toiletries and consumables in all areas
· Supporting the maintenance team by checking and reporting any defects promptly to our Head Housekeeper to ensure our guests are not inconvenienced in any way
· Working closely with the laundry team to ensure all linens are sent and received in a timely manner
· Liaising with the Restaurant team with regard to room service provision
· Being mindful, and attending to our guests needs and ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded
· Covering other duties that are included and will be shared with you at interview
As our Housekeeping Assistant you will be:
· Reliable, with good time keeping and attendance
· Good customer service skills, presenting a warm and friendly manner and respectful of our guests needs and requirements
· Organised, with the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
· A good team player – happy to work independently and as part of a team
· Good communication skills with the ability to share information with your colleagues
· Honesty, integrity and discretion are very important

Bartender
We have a *full time position* for an experienced bartender within our Michelin Star restaurant. Hambleton Hall is one of Britain’s finest country house hotels, situated in the smallest county of Rutland and just outside Oakham and overs Rutland Water. The hotel offers our guests an experience to remember with outstanding fine dining and exceptional accommodation.
What you will be doing:
- Working with the team to provide an outstanding, professional level of service to our guests.
- Preparing a wide variety of aperitif, cocktails and digestifs.
- Learning our menus and sharing your knowledge confidently with our guests.
- Preparing the bar for service, taking pride in presenting the Front of House and terrace areas.
- Serving our guests efficiently.
- When the time is right, clearing the tables in a timely and efficient manner to ensure all areas are ready for our next guests.
- Ensure bills are managed accurately, with the correct charges provided to our reception team in a timely manner.
- Purchasing and managing of stock.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift, are you able to work full time? For us, this means working 45 hours per week, on 5 days out of 7 and will include evenings and weekends.
