Birdwatching

Birdwatching at Hambleton

The Visitor Centre at Egleton (2.5 miles from the hotel) is a perfect starting point for a bird watching expedition and is host to the world’s largest bird fair.

A network of tracks leads to many hides opening onto the water margins. The helpful team in the Centre will tell you the most likely spots to find ospreys (in summer), ducks, geese, waders, kingfishers, sandmartins and a host of other species that make birdwatching a year-round pursuit.
